Company Timeline & Milestones


In March 1995 George Consagra, Anne Ashbey, and Stuart Cudlitz, the management team and creative director of the Colossal New Media Division, incorporated as MEDIACONCRETE. This new studio subsequntly completed the digital media and web design and production contracts they had initiated with (Colossal)Pictures, as well as creating other award winning works as an independent entity. The company disbanded in 1999. Below are some of the milestones of this near decade of work together.

1991 Media Concrete co-founders form and manage the Colossal New Media Division and in 1992 co-found the Colossal Digital Media Division
Create original interactive titles for Broderbund Software, Electronic Arts, Hasbro Interactive
Produce Interactive Television trials for Time Warner, I-Guide and QVC
Creative Direction and Production of MOXY -- the first full-bodied real-time computer generated character -- for The Cartoon Network

Colossal Picture Special Projects Group
Selected Work 1990-91

Produce 18 segment interactive laser disc for "Planetary Manager" an award winning National Geographic Society Educational production to supplement middle school science education curriculum.
Designed and Directed by Cudlitz.
Produced by Ashbey and Wilkinson with creative direction form Takahashi.

Budget and produce "ROCKPLEXX" a model and proposal commissioned by MTV and MCA/UNIVERSAL for a two story installation and digital media "Experience Museum" on the "LA Walk" at Universal studios. Architecture by Morphosis.
Model design, interactive media design, model construction and documentation by Cudlitz.
Produced by Lawrence Wilkinson with creative direction by Drew takahashi.
