This is the concept sketch for the IBM Research Center Multimedia Showcase meeting room. Laid out as an amphitheater where each participant sat at a custom desk/ workstation. Each station was designed to stand alone, with a computer, telephone, writing desk and over head light, The stations were also conceived to be networked in any configuation nescessary to perform a particular scenario involving collaboration or competition. The room was designed with three side by side floor to ceiling rear projection screens on which desktop work, collaborative design and multimedia content could be presented. A script was written to accompany this design based on the GBN/IBM scenarios white paper.
